Since Jules arrived in Bangladesh she has been busy networking and following a number of fundraising leads. Ideas so far include approaching garment factories for boxes of seconds for sale at expat events and setting up a benefit gig in the autumn, and a number of people have stepped forward to offer help. All these things bubbling away at the moment. Watch this space.
In the meantime, money continues to come in from BlueNote performances, and the British Expat Club - the BAGHA, has agreed to donate all proceeds from our next week's gig.

- BNWLA Hostel Appeal
- We are campaigning to raise funds to pay for a new BNWLA shelter for survivors of abuse, rape, trafficking, domestic slavery and acid attacks, as well as people living with HIV and AIDS, and abandoned babies. It's to be built outside Dhaka and will provide a hostel, school, training centre and playing area. The hostel's aim is to help people initially recover from trauma in a safe environment and then look to the future, through reintegration with society: a new start and a chance to rebuild shattered lives for the women and children who pass through.
